I start work today

"I've been planning to attend for three months..."

I got hired for a job,scanning groceries...about three weeks ago, I was half hour late for the interview and drenched (it was pouring rain), the busses were running SUPER late and my dad was in the hospital (the doctors still don't know what was wrong with him...). After my sob explaination and nervous rambling they still hired me. After they did,I waited for a call back and it didn't come for a week, then orientation...and then another two weeks of waiting,which brings us to last Friday.... I get a call telling me that my trainging starts Tuesday,("Fuck....the show is on Tuesday!" was all I was thinking as this woman was talking), Wednesday and then on Thursday all shifts 4-9, I almost told the woman that my parents 22th anniversary was Tuesday and they made dinner arangements at Respect Is Burning that couldn't be canceled but then I remembered that;

1)It's my first shift,not a good idea

and

2) I already used that one for school, I should save it for a more important event.

Soo, I'm sucking it up and missing the show,even though I'm a really big fan of ATB and one of the local bands that aren't mentioned on the flyer....

On the bright side of things, working this week will mean money for the weekend,which means getting that new sweater I wanted,yay!

Anywho, I better start the handouts my business teacher gave us or he'll start to bitch.
